The Black Diamond Distance Tent is an ultra-lightweight shelter that uses your own trekking poles to create the support to minimise unnecessary bulk and weight on your travels. This two-person, three-season, single-wall tent is ideal for ultralight trekking. The Distance Tent is far roomier and more comfortable than a bivy bag but at no extra weight. When pitched the base is at least 6 feet 3 inches in length with a height you can sit up in. It is fast and easy to set-up, coming with a small DAC cross pole that acts as a spreader bar and inserts into accessory grips connecting two trekking poles for headroom and stability. The included adapters make the Distance Tent compatible with any adjustable length walking pole. The fly is made from lightweight high tenacity 30 Denier poly fabric for durable strength and no sag when wet. The tent is staked out using four tension adjustable points and guylines made from Dyneema for strength to weight ratio that will not stretch when wet and allows your shelter to withstand robust winds. Compact with no unnecessary frills but with simple functional features like bug mesh at the foot and peak to allow air flow for ventilation, a single door and a headlamp pocket in the roof to light up your home from home. The fly, stakes and all can be packed down to the size of a Nalgene bottle and weighs a tiny 650 grams — 1030 grams if you include the average weight of two trekking poles.
